Hydroxyethyl cellulose, HEC in short. Is used in oil or petrol drilling & fracking etc. It can be used as dispersant, thickener, emulsifier and stabilizer. It is white in color and soluble both in hot and cold water. When thoroughly dissolved, the solution is clear and the viscosity can reach peak in about 1 hour. The viscosity is from 400-100000 for different applications.
